Today marks week three of my new healthy lifestyle! I weighed in at 131 pounds this morning so that’s 9 pounds down and 11 to go. I’m really not too concerned about my weight though. I just want to be slim and toned. I could get down to my original goal weight of 120 and not be happy if I’m still jiggly. So, I am revising my goal to just a slim non-jiggly weight to be determined.
I worked out today all by myself. Well sort of, I was with Chalene and all her workout peeps. Chalene is the lady on the DVD that does TurboJam and Chalean Extreme. Today I did a 30 minute TurboJam workout. I sweat my face off! I felt pretty good doing it and I got so hot I had to strip down to my extra strength sports bra (and pants…of course). I caught a glimpse of myself in the window and I was all like who’s that girl she’s looking good and then I was like oh yea that’s me. Just FYI objects in windows are smaller than they appear in real life. Exercise is becoming more “normal” for me and that was one of my goals so that’s good too.
I am surprised at how my new healthier diet is going. Sure, I slip up and eat unhealthy things but for the most part it’s not as hard as I thought it was going to be to make good choices. I make it a rule to eat anything I want but in moderation. If possible I will make substitutes in typically unhealthy recipes. Here is a site with tons of healthy food substitutes I found on you guessed it…Pinterest. It’s been really helpful. Speaking of eating, here’s what I ate today.
Breakfast: Kashi Cinnamon Harvest and banana with coffee.
Lunch: Grilled (w/o butter) cheese sandwich with guacamole and an orange. Water to drink. I used whole wheat bread and reduced calorie cheese. I sprayed the griddle with some olive oil Pam and grilled the bread. It was inspired by the sandwich I saw right here on Parent’s Playground NWA and it was delicious.
Snack: Chobani strawberry yogurt and water
Dinner: Omelet with some Ro-tel tomatoes, 2 slices of bacon that I picked all the fat off, and half of a whole wheat english muffin. Water to drink.
Snack: Banana with some bedtime tea that came with my new Keurig coffee maker.
