Today you get a two for one entry because I didn’t post yesterday. I will keep it short and sweet. Let’s start with yesterday…
I was a good girl and worked out. Mary came over and we did some Chalean Extreme cardio. It was a 30 minute sweat/laugh fest. Mary was cracking me up with her lack of coordination. Who says working out isn’t fun? Yesterday I ate really good except for a few little exceptions.
Breakfast: Whole wheat english muffin with PB and bananas. Coffee
Lunch: Amy’s Whole Meal Enchilada. If you haven’t tried the Amy’s brand I recommend it. It is organic and vegan and all kinds of other healthy words. It’s also pretty delicious for a frozen meal. Water to drink
Dinner: Chick Fil A Chargrilled Chicken Salad. I brought my own yogurt ranch and salsa mix from home. Unsweet tea to drink
Snack: We went to a party and this is where it went wrong. I had a fair sampling of chips and french onion dip and this thing that looked somewhat healthy but was sooo not. It was some sort of bread with what I thought was cream cheese on the bottom topped with veggies and shredded cheese. I asked what the cream cheese stuff was hoping she would say it was the reduced fat version but, was shocked and dismayed when I found out what it was. It was everything bad like mayo, cream cheese, ranch, and sour cream. Ugh.
So now I will move on to today. My eating was strange but not too bad. I also did a little strength training. I went to the gym with Mary and did a workout from her old trainer. It focused on arms and core strength. It was hard and I complained the whole time I did it. BUT, I did it and that’s what is important. Here’s what I ate…
Breakfast: Whole wheat toast with one egg on top. I spread a little French Onion Laughing Cow cheese on the toast to add a little flare. Coffee
Lunch: Lost track of time and wound up going to Sonic to get Lauren some food before cheer. I got a grilled chicken wrap but didn’t finish it all. When I got it I thought I was getting a real chicken breast but I’m afraid I was wrong. I bit into it and the texture of the chicken wasn’t right. It grossed me right out and I tossed the thing. I think I was so grossed out because I saw this picture of what I think that chicken was made of.
It’s called mechanically separated meat. It’s totally gross and only google it if you dare. It’s what most fast food meat is made from. I am much more selective after seeing this. I don’t know what I was thinking getting that wrap from Sonic today. In case you’re wondering Lauren ate grilled cheese. So basically I threw out my lunch.
Snack: Half of a avocado and reduced fat cheese sandwich and a granola thin.
Dinner: Jason’s Deli turkey wrap half and salad combo.
Then…I went to Braum’s and had a Heath Bar Mix.
