I think I am coming out of my slump!!! I woke up Tuesday and felt GREAT! I’ve been eating better and even enjoyed a run!
On Tuesday I made a healthy menu and compiled a hefty grocery list and took off for Neighborhood Market determined to leave with only healthy items. Well, $235 and 1.5 hours later we had a healthy stocked kitchen (and other things like self tanner, shampoo, eyeliner, and shaving cream) My healthy menu is posted on my Flabulous Facebook page but in case you missed it here you go…
After the grocery store Mary and I continued with our Couch to 5K training. Our mission was to run 1/2 mile… 3 times… walking .25 miles between each run. I don’t know about you but to me the thought of running 1/2 mile 3 times sucks. In fact I told Mary all week last week that I wasn’t going to do it. But…I went into it with a good attitude and you know what? It really wasn’t that bad! I felt all tough and proud when I was finished. Actually looking forward to the next run which will be tomorrow.
I worked last night (Tuesday) so my eating schedule today has been chaotic. Despite being chaotic I ate well. Went out to dinner with friends. I even resisted temptation at dinner which is so unlike me. I allowed myself some spinach dip. But passed on alcoholic beverages and an unhealthy dinner selection. I had a BBQ chicken breast with grilled zucchini and spaghetti squash. It was pretty tasty.
So, I’m feeling better about my healthy-ness and the changes in my body. For example, today I tried on my treadmill dress and didn’t even need Spanx! Then I put my jeans on and didn’t have to do nearly as many lunges to get the suckers stretched out enough to be comfortable. Things are looking up friends!
