I tried hard to redeem myself from yesterday and I think I did well. I had a very busy productive day and still managed to squeeze in some exercise time and ate pretty decent.
I hit the ground running this morning and didn’t stop until about 7:45 pm. I got a ton done…dentist appointment, Hobby Lobby run, grocery shopping, oil change, found a dress and accessories for a charity event in March, went to lunch with my pal Karma, took Lauren to piano and cheer, and all the other daily stuff I do. I managed to work out with Chalene after Lauren’s piano lesson and before dinner. I actually kinda prepared dinner while working out. In between intervals I would run to the kitchen and do a step towards completing dinner. I was really pressed for time today. Yea, I know…hard core right.
I did NOT want to work out today. I was wiped out and just not at all in the mood. But, I made myself. Chalene (the lady on the DVD) was trying to motivate me but it wasn’t helping. Then the timer popped up on the bottom of the screen and it said 45 minutes. CRAP! is what I thought to myself because I really was hoping for less than 30 minutes. I persuaded myself to stick it out and finish the whole stinkin’ thing. 45 minutes may not seem like a long time but after my day and the mind set I was in, it seemed like the longest amount of time imaginable. I must say that as always Chalene was right, I did feel better after I was finished. I also felt gross because I was totally sweaty and stinky but I will overlook that.
Today I signed up at myfitnesspal.com so I could keep track of my calories. I entered in todays stuff and I can almost guarantee I won’t log in again. It’s just a pain. I want to want to use it because it’s actually kinda cool but I just don’t see myself entering every little thing I eat. I’d prefer just to tell you guys here on my blog. Here’s what I ate today.
Breakfast: Strawberry greek yogurt with a few crushed Kashi Autumn Harvest biscuits. Coffee to drink
Lunch: My friend Karma took me to Panerra for my birthday. I had half of a greek salad and half of a veggie sandwich. Water to drink.
Snack: Bolthouse Farms Mocha Cappuccino protein drink. I don’t know why they call it a protein drink. It doesn’t have any more protein than a glass of milk. It’s yummy though. I will use it as more of a treat.
Dinner: Egg Salad made with plain greek yogurt instead of mayo on whole wheat and a cutie orange thing. Water to drink
apple 1/2 of an apple. My kids totally stole half my apple. If I would have cut them an apple they wouldn’t have eaten it but they sure scarfed mine right up. I’m not bitter.
