We recently talked our dear friends, Todd & Becky Cruise, into letting us have a gender reveal party for them. They had the doctor put the gender of the baby in an envelope and we dropped it off at the bakery so they could frost the inside of the cake either pink or blue. Nobody but the bakery knew what the gender was until our party.
Since our theme was preppy or pearls, we decorated the flutes with bow ties or pearls and served the guests drinks using the corresponding glass of their gender choice.
We decorated the table with pink, blue, and gray, and had fun little baby shaped cookies with bow ties and pearls. The gender sign buttons were one of my favorite details. Each guest wore their guess.
The ruffle cake from Meridienne Dessert Salon was not only gorgeous, it was delicious. Their creamy frosting melts in your mouth.
Our sign read: Will it be pretty in pink, little boy blue, preppy, or pearls? We haven’t got a clue.
We didn’t wait long to cut the cake. The anticipation was killing everyone. Their family already has one boy and one girl, and the frosting was pink so they will be getting a new baby sister!
Just a little side note. Toddy and Becky are our neighbors and we live on a street full of girls. We already have about 11 little girls in an 8 house radius and we are adding 3 more. 2 of our other friends on the street are also having girls. It’s funny because all of our friends who live on the other side of the neighborhood have boys.
Here are just a few of the little lovies. These kids are having so much fun growing up together. While we celebrated inside, they chased each other outside and played ring around the rosey. It’s heartwarming to see the love they have for each other and so satisfying to watch their enormous smiles. I can’t wait to meet the sweet new additions.
