For Daniel’s birthday, his mom April wanted to throw a Dr. Suess inspired party. We were excited to pull inspiration from some of the more recognizable stories.
We served Green Eggs & Ham cookies, Thing hair (cotton candy), One Fish, Two Fish, Three Fish Goldfish, Hop on Pop popcorn, and Beezlenut Splash to drink.
We personalized the party by creating a custom party printable collection that included: cupcake flags, buffet cards, labels, and signs to decorate. This also helped to keep the cost down. We featured a picture of the birthday boy wearing the famous Cat in the Hat striped hat, and decorated using used Dr. Seuss patterns and colors.

We hosted this pretty little party last year for some of the sweet hearts in our neighborhood. You can pick up the Be Mine banner, party circles, rectangle labels, and Just A Little Crush drink labels here.
On the menu: heart shaped pizzas, strawberry Crush, cupcakes, sweetheart sugar cookies, red velvet cake balls, whoopie pies, red and pink candy corn, and M&M’s.
This fun kids table was a total DIY project. I made the letters out of pre-cut cardboard letters from Hobby Lobby, black paint, and red glitter cardstock. I used our party circles to make the napkin rings, and purchased the heart plates from Target. Somehow, I managed to sew a table runner. But, I don’t think I’ll be trying that again. I’m not a fan of the sewing machine (sorry Grandma!).
We asked each child to bring a Valentine for each child attending the party. We used our rectangle party printables to create name tags for the mailboxes and then let each child decorate theirs before passing our their Valentine’s. It was fun, fun, fun. You can’t go wrong with a table full of sugar and crafts. We love our sweet friends!
This is a great play date because the treats are the craft. Let your little pastry chefs create their own edible art by decorating cookies or cupcakes. Everything is more fun with costumes so you can also provide chef hats and aprons, which kids can personalize. We used baking cups to create this pretty little flower.
