With a little help for our friends at Signed, Sealed, and Delivered, we styled this fun play date for our ‘Ideas & Inspiration’ page in Peekaboo Magazine. Our ‘Thanks & Giving’ play date will allow kids to have fun while learning a valuable lesson.
Ask each child to ‘cheerfully give’ by bringing a food item or a toy to donate to a family in need. Create, or have kids create their own, ‘blessing bag’ to be filled with cards and treats from their friends telling them why they are thankful for each other. Use cupcake flags to remind children of some of the things to be thankful for: sweet friends, fall days, mommy & daddy, etc…
Download our FREE Thanks & Giving Name Tags, Cards, Cupcake Flags, Banner, & Cheerfully Give Sign HERE.
The kids will love filling out what they were most thankful for on their name tags, and writing sweet notes to each other.
The Birthday Girl!
Mazie’s 1st year flew by in a flash, so we decided that a photo shoot themed party was the perfect way to celebrate the occasion.
The cake was perfection, thanks to Rick’s Bakery. They took the time to work with us on every detail to make sure that it was exactly what we wanted. If you have ever had a Rick’s cake (who hasn’t?) then you already know it was delicious!
The cake stand skirt was a custom design for the party, and this high chair was old and nasty before we busted out our secret weapon (spray paint, of course). We added a little wire mesh ribbon, and voila! Beautiful.
Each guest took home a picture frame with a custom printed message that said “Thank you for making my 1st birthday picture perfect!”, a handmade fabric flower hair clip, and a s’mores goody bag.
We had a table of photo props along with a gray and white Chevron backdrop for the guests to have their picture made. This is great for any age. The kids and adults both enjoyed posing for the camera.
The party was a huge success because after it was all over, my sweet little one year old gave me an impromptu kiss and hug. If I could have caught that on camera, it would have truly been picture perfect!
We were also thrilled that NYC party planner extraordinaire, Amy Atlas, featured our party on her blog. Check it out….http://blog.amyatlas.com/2011/10/picture-perfect-guest-dessert-feature/.
There’s a new push pop in town! Cake push pops are a huge party trend. We sweet talked Kirby’s Kupcakes in downtown Rogers into making these delicious cookies and cream treats for us. We just provided the containers from www.shopsweetlulu.com. A little hint…save them and re-use them for other parties to save some cash. We added a little whimsy by adorning them with mini versions of the photo props by Loriii, and we absolutely love the way they turned out. They are so fun for dessert, favors, seasonal treats, classroom gifts, etc…. Use your imagination because the options are endless.
Let your alter ego come to life with these fun photo props by local handmade supplier, Loriii. These are a blast for kids and adults. This is just one of the fun details from the “Real NWA Party” that we threw for our daughter, Mazie. We will be sharing more from Loriii tomorrow as well as some other party trends and ideas. Stay tuned, but in the meantime, click the image to see more from her line.
There were too many adorable pictures to post, so visit our Facebook page to see the entire album!
This real NWA mom turned a popular child’s license into a chic 1st birthday for her fabulous daughter, Olive. We are loving the custom party hats and cotton candy favors! This proves character parties can be fun and fabulous!
