I was so excited when Kim with Peekaboo asked me to help her style the magazine’s 4th birthday party. It was such an honor to be a part of this event. When we initially met to discuss our ideas for the party we were both wearing yellow and gray – that made the color direction easy!
A few of my favorite details were: the gorgeous custom yellow and gray frames by 2Katie Designs (they are on my list of current obsessions), the PEEKABOO cookies by Shannon Miller (my go to lady for party cookies), and the gorgeous flowers from Brick Street Botanical. I had the ruffled cake stand skirt and table runner custom made. My ultimate favorite detail was the black and white magazine cover with “Annual Birthday Issue” highlighted in yellow to coordinate with the party.
We had “A Dad’s View” table with pretzels and beer. We used enormous round balloons to add a dramatic pop of color to the buffet. The custom printable signs, menu, and cocktail stirrers add a personal touch, and the pretty paper garland continued with the festive birthday vibe.
Here’s a look at the extended Peekaboo family. These people are working behind the scenes to make it happen, and they are having fun doing it! What an amazing group of talented individuals. Not only are they talented; they are humble, kind, and fun to be around – the entire package. Stay tuned because we have an interview with the woman who started it all, Kim Enderle!
Happy Birthday, Peekaboo! We can’t wait to see what’s in store for your next 4 years.

Thought you might like a little Dinosaur party inspiration and a sneak peak of what I’ve been working on. I just designed this colorful party printables package for a little boy’s 1st birthday party. This would also be cute for a baby shower. The entire collection complete with banner is available on our Etsy site.
We received this adorable Sweet Heart play date from talented mommy, Amanda Ware. Photo booths are a huge party trend and they are so much fun for kids and adults. This picture of her 2 year old daughter is absolutely precious and it is going to make Mommy smile for years to come.
Each child made their own “Love Shack” with graham crackers and candy. How fun is that? I can’t wait to use this idea next year! Talking about sweet hearts, each child also made a V-Day card for the windows at her church. Melt my heart.
This dessert table looks sweet, to say the least. There were some happy kids at her house that day. In Amanda’s words, “We were all on a sugar high and sweetened up with good company”! Good friends…that’s what it’s all about.
Thank you for sharing, Amanda! We loved looking at your awesome play date pics!!
For Daniel’s birthday, his mom April wanted to throw a Dr. Suess inspired party. We were excited to pull inspiration from some of the more recognizable stories.
We served Green Eggs & Ham cookies, Thing hair (cotton candy), One Fish, Two Fish, Three Fish Goldfish, Hop on Pop popcorn, and Beezlenut Splash to drink.
We personalized the party by creating a custom party printable collection that included: cupcake flags, buffet cards, labels, and signs to decorate. This also helped to keep the cost down. We featured a picture of the birthday boy wearing the famous Cat in the Hat striped hat, and decorated using used Dr. Seuss patterns and colors.
